Spring Yard Zone - Unreal Engine 4

So that's it, my last and quick personal study of the year before going fully busy lol. Focus was more on composition speed + Substance Painter this time. I had a short window, but it worked. Since classic Sonic stages are kinda 'surrealist' and hard to reimagine in 3D, I humbly began with one of the most simple zones of Sonic 1. It was a good texture/material training (first time showing a study using Substance Painter) , and I did everything in two weeks.

Talking a bit about artstyle, I didn't want the classic+realistic approach of Sonic Generations, neither the 'childlike' tone of Lost World, but a happy medium between the two (the definitive artstyle for Sonic?). The size of the objects, the materials aspect, colors, lights etc, everything was though based on that desired style.

I had some issues with windows 10 + fps, sorry =/
